Picked flower
Once you were vibrant
Full of joy and love
Swaying in the wind
With the mastered grace you have
You seemed untouchable
Atleast to the likes of me
You a blood-red rose,
Could not be picked by someone like me

Eventually someone saw you
Captivated by your beauty
Came and picked you
Spellbound by fragrance
Decided to keep you
Kept as a treasure
Viewed by a few
Sadly it could not last

Your petals began wither away
Your red petals then slowly turned grey
So he held you one finally time
Dropped you forgot you like nursery rhyme
More passed by but they trampled you
You slowly gave out, life drained from you
Once a beauty now you lay their forgotten

Contrasting now and then like night and day
Only few remember your past beauty
No one thought it would end this way
Broken and torn wasted fully
Now six feet deep you lay
Your body already wasted trully
Maybe we could have changed what we now see
If you were picked by the likes of me
