The Break of Dawn,
#WritcoPoemPrompt53
A silver mirror kept in my room,
showcasing everything in an impartial way,
It lits everything with it's silver gloom,
when it gets hit by the golden sunrays,
My default, loudly silent alarm clock.
Shuffling across the room groggily,
Or rather, springing across it to roll the curtains,
Depending on mood disposition.
Looking through the window,
The dew shines in the grass,
Like broken pieces of glass,
And the Guru lake further away,
Glitters so brightly like a sheet of diamonds.
The sun rays seem to fall and hold onto my face so tightly like the tentacles of an octopus,
While the soft lucid breeze brushes my wispy hair over my forehead.
l like the mornings,
Yes, especially when the sky is blue,
Think and talk of new beginnings ,
And brand new opportunities,
Just to name a few.
That's part and parcel of the reason why I look in the mirror everyday,
Just to see the reflection of greatness, courage and faith.
There's so much in Us to offer Life...
That's why I love the morn.
