Write a poem about a time that your illusions of someone or something were shattered.

A friend of mine once saw a rapper,
an acquaintance of another,
and he said,
"wow this is someone she'd most likely fall for"
and guess what, he wasn't wrong.

He was one half of a duo from birth,
spoke lyrics that dulled the senses.
Beautiful to behold,
the ripper of feminine dreams.

I had a crush on him,
only ever saw him in a room,
he's too gorgeous to deny,
and like a fly I was caught in his trap.

I acted upon my crush,
danced at a party all night long.
We shared a kiss at the back of the bus,
one that had me tripping on my return,
I was certain we'd be more,
but alas deceit is what it was.

My birthday party,
a day of revelations.
I waited for a gift and instead
he demanded of me what I couldn't give.
Objectively revealing to me,
the reason why he ever carried on with me...
I think the best place for you is under me,
wrapped around my dick,
body parts notwithstanding
I'll take all of you I see.

My crush shattered before my eyes,
and since then I've never looked back.
So now I double tap and walk away,
than play the game again,
is he worth it or am I just about to be played?
