Unveiling Strength
They say I've turned too cold,
Arrogant and stunningly bold,
I say, life twists us in every bit,
People evolve, just as you did.

Certain things trigger me each day,
All emotions seem to fade away.
Now I embrace standing up for myself,
Even if my words create a stormy delph.

I used to be like lovers and givers,
But all this now, no, my heart quivers.
I'd rather not invest my soul anymore,
I'd rather not plead at anyone's door.

Never thought I'd turn this way,
Blame's on me, even if they betray.
But I won't surrender to doubt this time,
Regaining strength, removing every grime.
