The music playing in the background, soft and gentle on my ears,
We have waited so long, now the waitress is here.

The atmosphere of the cafe is ever so calm,
If only I came sooner, but the past is now done.

" What drink would you like to order?" My eyes run to the menu,
Where the writing is nice and neat.
Lia, Black coffee,
Anne, water,
Lana, Green tea,
But what should I choose? All eyes are on me.

Pink lemonade, maybe normal,
I don't fancy coffee or a latte or tea,
But what I will choose, is something different,
Maybe a berry smoothie?

I have decided.
The waitress walks to where they get everything ready,
And Lana starts the conversation.

The waitress comes up to us again,
And asks us what we want to eat,
Lia , cheese and ham omelette,
Anne, fried egg on toast,
Lana, noodles,
But what should I choose?

Fried eggs with herbs, maybe normal,
I don't fancy beans or meat,
But what I will choose, is something different,
Maybe the cheese omelette?

I have decided.
The waitress walks to where they get everything ready,
And I start the conversation.

The waitress slowly walks up with our food, but not all at once.
First Lia, then Anne,
Then Lana, then me.

The cheese oozes out of my omelette, bringing amazing flavour,.
I try my friends' dishes, they are all good too,
And I rate them out of 10.

Lia, too simple, 8/10,
Anne, again, too simple,6/10,
Lana, amazing, 10/10,
Mine is 9/10, amazing then.

The waitress comes up to us yet another time,
And asks us what we want to eat,
Lia , berry ice cream,
Anne, cookies,
Lana, nothing,
But what should I choose?

Fried ice cream, maybe normal,
I don't fancy coffee or sour,
But what I will choose, is something different,
Maybe matcha cake?

I have decided.
The waitress walks to where they get everything ready,
And Lia starts the conversation.

We finish our delicious meals,
The waitress comes with our bill, Anne pays.
As we walk out of the cafe, we realise that was a brilliant moment,
An amazing day.
