I recently started making paper stars
I wish I could show them to you

You used to tell me
That your love for me
Is as eternal as the stars in the sky

I'm sure it's true

Because your love for me
Shines even in the darkest of the nights

Unlike yours, my stars aren't eternal
Made of paper they're fragile, like me

I tried to get my stars to reach yours
So they could hug each others
Because I'm sure they're tired
Of constantly shining so bright

Is their shine a blessing or a curse ?

Your love for me was a blessing
I still cherish to this day
But now that you're gone
It's feeling like a curse
Yet I don't regret our love

I try to shine too, from down there on earth
So that maybe you can see me from up there

I can see you shine
Even in the middle of the day
The sun is a shadow compared to your shine

But tell me
Can you see me shine ?
