Before you judge anyone
First look at yourself
And fix what you see
Are you at the stage in life, exactly where you thought you'd be
Remember arrogance and ignorance go hand in hand
So don't point your fingers at what you might not even understand
There's always lessons to be learned
So don't be the first to cast a stone
Sometimes we are too quick to judge based on what you see,
Instead based of what we know
We let our thoughts and actions ran free
But seeing and knowing are rarely the same
And cannot be compared
In all sincerity, when you judge someone
It impairs your ability to see them with clarity,
As if a filter is screening out everything about them except what fits your assessment
That's why it's recommended to first take a closer look at yourself
And then you'll understand everyone else
But to see yourself very clearly look at the people who love you
Look into their eyes and see what they're seeing before you're quick to judge
They've got a birds eye view of all the secrets you keep
But they're trying to stay silent when they really want to speak
So don't try to sing a song of truth when you're living a lie
All the time defending what you can never justify
Try not to take yourself too seriously, truth be told we all have issues and scars
So don't ever think of yourself too highly to fall
Because we are only human
All perfectly flawed
Don't sell yourself short but don't write anyone off
And instead of judging or burning every bridge you crossed
Maybe you could try and help a soul that's lonely and lost!!
