Dark Light
Dark Light- (A hypothetical force of nature that acts on dark matter to allow dark matter to interact with itself.)
Your eyes are soft,
and your voice is calm,
if they only knew the pain behind them,
or the words that tremble with your chin.
If they only knew the look you get when everything feels like it's crashing down,
or the tremors that start in your legs and slowly make their way to your hands before your ready to buckle.
The way your lip quivers when your desperately trying to hold back the tears,
the ones that slowly run down your face,
as your mentally being overcome by your fears.
The way you curl yourself into a corner,
because your not acclimated to loving hands,
or the anxiety that cripples you to the floor,
that leaves you pulling your hair out in strands.
They don't get to see that,
They see the rising and setting sun reflected in mosaic eyes,
that's warmth is given in a beaming smile,
and laughter that crowds a room just to feel its ripples.
The happiness and fire in your eyes,
that seamlessly brightens those sitting in the dark
and invites them in,
that stops their shaking as they sit at your table to find peace as you hold them together.
The way you open your loving arms with soft hands,
that slowly pull their's to yours,
as you lift them out of the crater where they landed,
as your presence gives them the strength to stand.
That's what they see,
without a single word spoke,
it's in the energy of the light you give off.
And I know how strong you are,
because I see both.
Sometimes we can't see our own light,
it's reflection comes back to us eventually,
For now It's too busy surrounding those around us who need it.
Don't be afraid to soak it in when it makes its way back to you;
You've always been worthy.
