She hides every bit of the pain
For she sees there's nothing else to gain
The past has left deep scars
For time has buried them deep within
She wears a smile beautifully
A mask that disguises her true self
She grows ever so powerful
Yet enjoys the solitude of the darkness
And dances to the music of the rain
Strong as she may portray
She conceals the ever growing fear
Hiding all evidence of her scars be her aim
For revealing them leaves her naked
Its either acceptance or dissertation
When pain and scars are revealed
Still anxiously fearful she buries her pain
Never to see the light of day
No ears shall hear a whisper
Buried deep within
No story shall make a sound
To the grave shall she take it
A place to rest for always
