With your impeccable poetic lines that felt so sweet,

Knocked me off my feet,

Made me believe there was more to love than wits,

Let my guard down,

And, watched my armour fall in relief,

Purchased every ounce of your love with belief,


But, instead


You barged into my heart,

Tore it apart,

And

Left me to grief in defeat.
