Don't mention her.
That giant man,
walking as if he's the boss,
as if he owned the street,
as if he had everyone under his feet.
laughing loud till the clouds scatter,
and whisteling till the trees waived side to side....
but then....
He hears that familiar giggle,
and sees her across the road....
humming and singing her way home,
he jumps in to the bushes by the roadside,
and looks on to the street,
as focused as a tiger awaiting to pounce upon...
walking as if he's the boss,
as if he owned the street,
as if he had everyone under his feet.
laughing loud till the clouds scatter,
and whisteling till the trees waived side to side....
but then....
He hears that familiar giggle,
and sees her across the road....
humming and singing her way home,
he jumps in to the bushes by the roadside,
and looks on to the street,
as focused as a tiger awaiting to pounce upon...
