Don't mention her.
That giant man,
walking as if he's the boss,
as if he owned the street,
as if he had everyone under his feet.
laughing loud till the clouds scatter,
and whisteling till the trees waived side to side....
but then....
He hears that familiar giggle,
and sees her across the road....
humming and singing her way home,
he jumps in to the bushes by the roadside,
and looks on to the street,
as focused as a tiger awaiting to pounce upon his prey,
and he waits.

She pretends she hadn't seen him so...
she keeps singing all the way home...
he sits in the bushes watching her shadow ....
disappear from his sight,
his cheeks blushing, his face flushing,
his pupils as big a black moon.

That's the girl he likes,
he would never look her in the eyes.
He should never so,
lest it makes him soft.

Then he notices another boss_wanna _be across the road,
walking as if he was the boss,
he rises from the grass by the roadside, puffs his chest, squares his shoulders walks like the King of the steet he was.

Brave and Courageous.
But....her.....don't mention her....
to this man of steel.
