Dark Purity
Pretty little thing,
Cute and adorable.
Nice to a fault,
Polite by default.
That's me at first glance.
Never got into trouble
Unless provoked,
But nothing physical.
It's a bit contradicting,
Well aren't we all?
Just little bundles full
Of contradictions.
Though I appear to be
In my own little world,
My gaze somewhere out there,
Trust me, I know what's happening.
My words can sting,
Cut a little too deep,
Though over the years
I learned to soften them a bit.
I choose to smile
And find humor in any kind
Of situation, be it a good or
A bad one, strange as it sounds.
As angelic as you may find me,
No fault to slight me,
You should know not to
Judge a book by the cover.
I can just as easily
Turn everything around,
Become a completely
Different person.
In a blink of an eye,
A smile can become a smirk.
White wings can turn black,
A halo can disappear.
I have those kind of thoughts,
Those "what if" ones.
What would happen if I become
An opposite of myself?
Our dark side has an ugly face,
That's why we do everything
In our power not to reveal it
To the rest of the world.
Pretty little thing
With a cute face.
A mind full of ideas
Kept under wraps.
An angelic appearance
With a penchant for dark
And sometimes perverted.
Only babies are 100% pure.
Don't worry, I know my limits.
They're never crossed.
I know when to keep going,
I know when it's time to stop.
My principles are strong,
A deviant I'm not.
Trying to be as honest as I can be
With others and myself.
I don't seek perfection,
It's overrated in my humble opinion.
I seek to be just me,
Me and no one else.
