Threw out old boxes,
Regrets and photographs,
Empty pockets and lockets,
Burning any trace,
Must get rid of it all,
Must move on to love again,
But even with someone new,
The thoughts of what you did will always remain,
You took her into our home,
To our bed,
And did things only we were supposed to,
You betrayed me,
You hurt me worse than a knife to my chest,
Because it was actually a knife to my heart,
So now I must be forced to remember,
The pain never fully fading away,
Trust issues are all I know now,
Nothing will never be that same,
Even with someone new,
My heart will always be torn because of you.
