Grand pa's worn out shoes
#PathsWalked

Old, weary soles rest by the door,
They’ve walked a lifetime, traveled before,
Through hills and valleys, sunshine, and rain,
Bearing the weight of joy and pain.

Grandpa sighs, his eyes aglow,
Watching his grandson, eager to grow,
To walk his own path, bold and free,
Unburdened by the past he cannot see.

"These shoes have stories,"
Grandpa says low,
"Of places I’ve been, of things I know.
They’ve taken me far,
through thick and thin,
But now, it’s your turn to begin."

He holds a box with paper new,
Inside, a pair of polished shoes.
"For you, my child, a gift from me,
To walk your road, your destiny."

With careful hands, he ties each lace,
A symbol of love, of strength, of grace.
“May they carry you far, wherever you roam,
To find your dreams and bring them home.”

So the young boy steps with a gleam in his eyes,
In shoes unscuffed, beneath open skies.
And Grandpa smiles, with a heart that’s true,
For he’s given his path to someone new.
