I pushed through your bullshit with love
I ended things because I've had enough
I got tired of you always tearing me down
and so I decided to turn things all around.
It took me a lot of faith to get me through
I looked around & couldn't see sights of you
I moved through the day with love and joy
deciding that I'm healing that broken little boy.
I remember those days you used to beat me
I looked you in the eyes and I was angry
I knew one day I would get the chance to go
pushing myself to make sure my dreams grow.
I did whatever it took to find my own way
I hated being around you each and everyday
I had so much faith knowing that I'll thrive
just getting away inspired me to always thrive.
