Letter To Dad
#WritcoPoemPrompt2
In the end it was just me and my thoughts,
A painful trap, long after you were gone
Your departure left me in a state of trauma
Like an oxygen to a glowing splint
Your thoughts rekindles my surrow
Yet,the surrow is my paradise
I wandered through the narrow street,
Seeking for an atom of your memories.
Though, many a mansion in condolence estate,
Non seemed comfortable in my present state.
For a father's love,I can't burrow.
I was just a boy,so young,
Dependent and unwary of tommorow,
Ignorant of the taker of life.
Mr death must be so strong.
How you gave in to him remains a mystery.
I thought you were indomitable.
But,death! I heard is inevitable.
calm is thy slumber as an infant's sleep
But thou shall wake no more to toil and weep.
Thine is a perfect rest secured and deep.
But no more words shall drop from thine lips.
In the end,it was just me and my thought.
My thoughts and nothing more!
