Life isn't perfect

I know a thing or two 'bout being worthless

I've been around people, completely thoughtless

Spewing foolish, idiotic nonsense

Trust me when I say,

I've had my fill of idiotic days.

Been around people who find joy,

In making other people pay

Used to having their way

I've seen people who think they've won,

At life just by having fun

I've been around people who saw me as plan B

When no one else was around,

They'd suffer my company,

When they needed companionship in urgency

I've made friends, who weren't friend at all

I've made friends with people who want to see me fall

But here I am, standing tall,

Second best no more

Great companionship, I have found

Companionships that may heal all my wounds

Companionship in poets and in books.

Companionship in true friends, who hopefully aren't crooks

I have found an ounce of peace
