new bloom
As the year draws to a close,
I smile, for now all my bad experiences, fears, and regrets can be buried,
and I can start fresh
like a tulip being reborn in the spring.
As the sparkly ball falls from the sky,
I can dance down the sidewalks of New York without a care.
I can kiss my boyfriend without fear that I'm not a good girlfriend.
I can party
until the sun
rises high into
the sky
I can eat
my fear and
do things I
never thought I
I can go
to my mother's cottage
and apologize for
our big fight
for it's never
too late to
fix things in
your life
