SLEEPLESS HOURS (L.R.)
Author's Note to Readers: Don't take this personally (my friends), I wrote this poem a week ago and I was getting good sleep. I am posting this one because I thought it was a funny relation to my sleep schedule now, I am well rested and not tired during the day.

I tried,
because you wanted me to.
My eyes burned as if on fire,
and stung as if a bee came along.

I waited,
because you wanted me to.
My body slugged around,
and my insides were slowly shutting down.

I stayed,
because you asked me to.
My legs were sore,
and they broke down every second.

I smiled,
because you asked me to.
My mouth was trying so hard to curve,
and always wanted to be at resting.

I waved,
because you required me to.
My hands using every muscle to do a small movement,
and kept slipping down by my sides.

I spoke,
because you required me to.
My throat concealing its rasping,
and had the desire for water to cool it.

I stood tall,
because you needed me to.
My back longing for a slouching rest,
and having to pain itself to please you.

But then I left,
because I needed me to.

Sleepless Hours- A place keeping you from the desperation of needed sleep. Your body falling apart because the outside word wanted you to stay up with it.
