To The Moon

My life with you passed before my eyes
When I heard that you were gone
Just going back to the memories
Thinking about our special bond!

I loved you to the moon and back
Like any mother would love her son
There were good days and bad
Sometimes we had much fun!

You wouldn't believe how much I miss you
And my heart's playing tricks on me
Sometimes the tears are overflowing
And somedays happy I'll be!

Even though time has gone quickly by
It doesn't change how I feel
In the past the numbness set in
But now I know that it's real!

Don't you worry because I'll be there someday
And then we'll never be apart
I can't wait to spend Eternity with you
And I'll love you with my whole heart!

I think that you'd be proud of me
If you knew what I was doing down here
Pouring my heart and soul into these poems
While wading through a river of tears!

I feel content while I'm writing
And happy when I help someone
Although sometimes it isn't easy
But I've done it for you,.my son!
