Defiant Illuminators
Two figures stand, in tales of old,
One clad in Greek myth, one in biblical fold.
Prometheus and Lucifer, their stories told,
In their defiance, a similarity bold.
Prometheus, the Titan, in his hand held tight,
The stolen flame, humanity's light.
Knowledge and progress, in their sight,
For this gift, he'd endure a plight.
Lucifer, the Morning Star, in Eden's glade,
Brought knowledge too, a heavy trade.
From God's grace, he fell, his rank decayed,
Yet in his act, a path was laid.
One seen as hero, one as villain cast,
Yet both brought change, their die was cast.
In their defiance, they held steadfast,
Echoes of their deeds, in histories vast.
Punished they were, for their defiant stand,
One chained to rock, one cast to no man's land.
Yet in their stories, across the sand,
A testament to knowledge, by their hand.
Two figures, different, yet the same,
Both played a dangerous, high stakes game.
In their actions, no shame,
For in the end, it's knowledge we claim.
