Day 54 - Synecdoche

My sights set on the future as i ready for the battles.
Some shouldn't take much force, yet ,still, others will be a handful.
Taking arms is one decision that I certainly can make.
Fighting to secure my legacy, has become a piece of cake.

I've gone some rounds with foes who were much better prepared.
I've burned my candle at both ends just to hold on to my share.
I keep saying there's no limit to my power. I've exponentially grown,
And I've put to the sword all of the enemies that I've ever come to know.

I'm collecting all debts and I'm calling in all favors.
My edition may come a little late but I'll headline in the papers.
I have more mouths to feed than just the one I orate with.
I'm gonna rise to newer heights, and find my place to live.

I am not stopping now, though I've taken some time to myself.
I won't forget my dreams and put my goals back on the shelf.
No time for telling lies or to be driven to the depths of hate.
It's futile to deny that I'm ready to finally rise and face my fate!
