Cascade of tears...
The eyes well up, overflowing into a stream
Running down delicate skin, the tears gleam.
The hands softly wipe the drops of emotion
That exude from eyes mesmerised in devotion.

Arms momentarily shiver as goose bumps rise
Sensations implode creating silent little highs.
The mind uncertain about life at this moment,
In a head rush, grappling ideas as bestowment.

The heart and soul so vulnerable at this time,
Shamelessly being teary almost being a crime.
You’re expressing, as a human naturally should,
Feelings so strong it rocks the world if it could.

Tears are a symbol of frailties that we eschew
Yet it is precisely what makes us, me and you.
An unexpected moment we let our guard down,
Emotions not welcomed, rather met with a frown.

I say “up yours”, I’ll shed a tear or three when I want,
Be it sadness, joy or whatever moves me even if daunt.
How can you not shed a tear at a newborn or a puppy,
Being bought in to a family or even the life of a yuppie?

Tears at a passing of an elderly need not be totally sad
But of happy memories shared in a long life lived and had.
Sometimes we shed tears but we can’t figure out why
A moment when we feel broken and totally very shy.

So whatever it makes your cheeks be cascaded by tears
Be not afraid that you need hide from friends and peers.
Tears are showing we do have feelings needing an out,
A sign that self love does exist within, without a doubt.
