He Did This
The day I saw her, it was a sight to behold. She was standing behind a monster, though that monster was the only thing she knew. She was shy, very shy. As I went to her, she was looking at the ground afraid to meet my gaze. It was cute, yet heartbreaking. I knew what he was doing to her. Though, I was a kid, could I have stopped him? No, I don't think I could of stopped him. Instead, I just did everything to make her smile. The day I got her to smile was April 8th, 2006. It was beauty that I could not fathom at the time, seeing it was memorizing. I said a good old fart joke, I did my best on it. She told me "You're dumb." And I said "But... I got you to smile." It amazed me of what she said next "It wasn't the joke, your smile did this." I'm happy that my smile could help her, though, the day I lost her smile was a day I chose to forget. The day I threw myself from life and hid from the ones I love. It was a scary day. He took her glowy eyes away, forced her to give up on everything, made her smile disappear along with her soul and made the one who loved her watch. This monster is something that I fear every single day, he put a scar on both of us and it will never go away. But... I will smile for my happiness and for others happiness. I hope to never meet this monster again.
