The Last Twilight...
In twilight's grasp, where hues of joy reside,
The last gleams of happiness gently fade,
Before the darkness claims its fearsome stride,
And sight is lost in shadows, unafraid.

A person, once blessed with vision so bright,
Now stands upon the precipice of night,
Where vibrant colors once danced on their gaze,
Now muted, as if veiled in spectral haze.

The sunset's golden glow, now out of reach,
And vibrant rainbows fade into the gray,
As blindness creeps, encroaching like a thief,
Stealing the splendor that once lit their way.

Yet still, within their heart, a light remains,
A beacon of hope, as darkness restrains.

Though sight may dim, the soul can still perceive,
The beauty that abounds, though unseen now.
For happiness resides beyond what's seen,
In melodies of laughter and love's vow.

The touch of a loved one's hand on their own,
The warmth of a smile, a kind word bestowed,
These treasures, ever-present, brightly shown,
Through life's kaleidoscope, their spirits grow.

So, in the twilight's final fading glow,
Let gratitude and love forever flow.
