You are angry, why I have to leave you?
Why I have to die?
It's painful for you and for me too,
Though I don't want to say goodbye.
The time was too short, we had so many dreams
So many things that we wanted to do
But now I'm going, and tears stream
I don't want to leave without holding you.
My heart is breaking, empty and sore,
But I don't want you to see me suffer through
Before I go, I'm writing this poem for you
To remember me, always, forever, true.
So take these words and never forget
That I was yours and you were mine,
That I loved you 'til the day I left
And that I tried so hard to stay, but I had to fly.
