Babyhood
In the early hours of dawn
When my colics tickle your motherly ears,
Or in the late lights of night
When my chuckles swoon your fatherly arms,
Taking me to the beginning of time
Showing me the world unknown until.
That's a crow, then, a car,
Trees, flowers, homes, and stars;
I saw the world as you showed me
I saw me in the way you saw me:
Dream-like. Snow-like.
Both beautiful and shivering.
