Love Languages
There are days when I just,
sit and ponder over,
the question of whether,
am I loved or not?
The days when I just,
wander in the quest of love.
That is when I begin to see,
the pure emotion of love in,
everything that life shows me.
From the slightest gestures,
to the greatest sacrifices,
that my loved ones,
willingly make for me.
When my mother cuts up fruits for me,
and brings them to my room,
as I study with all my might,
to make her proud.
When my father makes food for me,
and spends hours in the kitchen,
only to see that smile on my face,
as I take the first bite of the treat,
and get lost in its scrumptiousness.
When my grandma carefully braids my hair,
with her warm and shaky hands.
When my grandpa tells me stories of his life,
and humorous tales of his times,
as he begins chuckling,
before completing his sentences.
When my brother quarrels with me at home,
and then defends me in public.
When I tell my father I liked something,
and he brings a whole bunch of it the next morning.
When I come home from school on a hot day,
and find a jug full of lemonade in the fridge,
only to realize that my mom made it.
When my friends remember,
to save a seat for me,
even when I'm the last person,
to enter the school.
When they remember to wait,
as I tie my shoelace.
When someone saves the last piece,
of my favourite chocolate.
When my sister and I cook in the kitchen,
and talk all night until we...
