They both drowned in the deep waters
but only one of them could be rescued, they said
and he wished to save the one he had on the altar
so he acted as if he were dead

Nobody knows how many tears she shed
when she opened her closet that evening
and saw that white dress
and remembered the truth she still had issues perceiving

He told her once, Love I'll fight for you.
You're my wife
but she never knew that a time will come in her life
when this won't remain the truth

His photos are now all black and white
she never thought she'd not have him by her side
She never thought there'd be a time in her life
When no one would call her "my wife"

When the tear dropped on that black dress
when she was supposed to address
there, in front of people with teary eyes
on the podium resisting herself to cry

She felt his soul!
she never felt so whole
she saw him, not a maybe but for sure!
there was nothing but him for her cure
It made her believe in everything
including her wedding ring
she couldn't find anything in her life as wrong
while she reminisced her ' our ' song.

His corpse couldn't do much to stop him from loving her
and 'till death do us part' couldn't bring much loss to incur
for he didn't mean a beating heart but the immortal soul
His presence made her need no console
