Sahara
I eat the empty streets, I eat them raw:
First the concrete, it crunches nicely upon bites;
Under my teeth with pleasant texture
it leaves reachless sights!
That is how I like to be in awe

Next, the concrete is rendered into sand,
Simulating a tango with its crumbs
Oh, do I have an appetite,
afterwards I lick my thumbs!
That is how plain I like our land

I eat the buildings; I eat quite a lot
They are somewhat hard to swallow,
But nonetheless, as craving takes over,
I leave none hollow!
Because otherwise, they would rot

And since they are inhabited, I take flesh,
Which leaves my voice...
