Our Boy
I know you were there to greet our boy
As he walked through the gate made of pearl
And you knew the same thing that I'd always felt
That he would be young when he left this world!
I feel some peace knowing that you're by his side
And our son is happy at last
The Lord has given him so much joy
And erased his tears from the past!
I know that you'll take care of him
He really missed you since you left that day
He was so troubled more than I knew
He longed for God to take his pain away!
He felt there was only one way to relieve his mind
An illness that had lasted for many years
And losing his dad was breaking his heart
He would try to hide his many tears!
I told him he would see you again
But that he had a life to live
He volunteered for the community
And had a lot of compassion to give!
You both are on my mind so much
I can't imagine the peace and the joy
Someday I'll see your happiness
But for now take care of our boy!
