Dear self,

You've been gone for awhile now, please tell me where did you go? There's things I wish I could say to you, things I want you to know.

This life has been unkind to you, I feel it's taken its toll. I've watched you slowly detach yourself, like life has stolen your soul.

You were once so bright and beautiful, determined, hopeful, and driven. You never let anything slow you down, made more out of what you were given.

The smile you wore was so radiant, carefree, and unique. That smile quickly faded away with every personal critique.

Your light has slowly burned out, leaving you depressed, alone, dark. You still have that sense of purpose, you just need to find your spark.

I miss the person you once were, I know she's hidden away. With patience, time, and practice I know I will see you one day.
