Brother
I just had a brother,
He is a premature brother,
Born before his time,
Stayed three months in hospital with mother,
While I, sister and dad
Left together,
Had to call
Rather than seeing him,
Because of the widely sickness,
Always worried about him,
Worried if he would make it,
Prayed to God for me to be okay,
For him to come home,
So we can be a complete family.
Mom called
"The doctor said he doesn't have enough blood,they said he might not walk"
My dad was worried sick even though he never said it
But I could see it in his eyes
Prayed, prayed
Prayed for the Almighty to heal him,
Prayed for the Almighty to bring him home to us,
Three months went,
Mom called
"We are discharged"
How happy we were,
Still are,
Our prayers answered
Mom and dad decided to call him"Praise"
Yes some think it's a strange name
But we believe if it weren't for God,
He would be dead
It's a nice name to me,
But if it was up to me
I would give him another name and call him"Nigel"
Yes both our names would start with "N"
But most importantly Nigel means"Champion"
And he is a Champion.
