Verses have much in common with clouds,
floating, scattered, in my notebook,
intertwining with the purple dawn,
as purple as my soul...
They take on shapes
simple and abstract,
letting me guess
what they all might mean...
Verses urge us to dream
like the chalky clouds above a mountain,
to forget, for just a moment,
the trivial things of a mundane life.
