Argonaut
For what reason do you sail for, sailor?
Tell me the reasons why?
For glory, or for fame?
For stories, for your name?
To be written in stones, high and proud?
To be spoken in domes, echoing loud?

Left home, sailing northward
Without a clear plan ahead
Every morning is a push upward
Away from the pull of your bed.

Left your zone, sailing northward
With the stars as your guide
Everything's fine, moving forward
As luck's always by your side.

Right side, follow the lines, never stray
As long as you move with the tides,
You'll always find a way, survive the day.
But a safe ride's not a fun ride, you'll say.

You gain control against the current,
You learn to watch and listen to waves.
Your views are ahead of the current,
You learn to read and ride the waves.

You begin to boast and move away
From your destined destination,
Away from the coast, a castaway,
Planning to conquer nations far away!

But destiny has other plans for you, sailor
It's written in the palms of your hand
For what reason do you sail for, sailor?
Is your destiny out of your hands?

The captain of his own ship,
The sailor to own these seven seas,
Out of his own hands, he'll let it slip,
And with his life will pay the high fees.

For the captain, though wise and strong,
Will always be a child, in heart and mind
Will make decisions, playfully wrong
But with failure, the sailor will find..

That the journey's the destination itself
And to journey is already a win over your self.

For what reason do you sail for, sailor?
For glory, or for fame?
For stories, for your name?
To be written in stones, high and proud?
To be spoken in domes, echoing loud?

For what reason do you sail for, sailor?
Are you willing to sink with it?
If not, set your sails away from the dangers of the seas!
Stay at home, grieve forever and pay regret as your fee!
