My heart is longing for something beyond,
From the ways of the world and its bond.
My spirit desires to be lifted above,
But sin offers only fleeting love.
Though the world shines and calls my name,
I will follow the Lord and keep Him in my frame.
Truth will lead me in a righteous way,
For following Him is the only way.
His ways bring joy and a new found peace,
The path of life gives me the ability to freely lease.
So I will seek what's from above,
For Christ is the master of everlasting love.
