Those forgotten days,
Without you in my life,
When I thought I had to perfect,
Are all in the past.

You gave me a different experience,
I had never met someone as different as you are,
Because you didn't try to be different,
You just did everything in your own way.

I thought before that perfect was important,
But now I just do my best and let it go,
There's no need to prove myself anymore,
Because you've taught me that I'm already good enough this way.

Have I really never met someone like you before,
Or it's because you didn't give up on me,
Like the many who failed to love me,
Because I didn't really love myself,
Thinking I wasn't perfect.

The different I've never seen,
Has to be you because,
Your imperfections have never really stopped you,
From being the best version of yourself.
