I lie here in an almost comatose state waiting for sleep which of course is late.
I wish I could sleep far off into the deep, into the realms of my dreams.

But instead no matter how hard I try, my head screams no stay awake it's not time.

I lie here waiting like a passenger for a train, standing on the platform inside my brain.
While I wait for the sleep train to arrive, I sleeply close my eyes, I hear a noise I just can't tell, would you believe it's only my alarm bell.

So as I look at the sun's beam of light, I can't help wondering what the journey will be like tonight.
