I wonder
what it would have felt like to
have a choice, to choose love,
to hold anything with both hands.
It's taken me this long
to say I want, I want, I want.

I long for a love that is true,
a love that doesn't judge or betray.
I want to feel free, to be me,
to let go of all the pain
that has held me back for so long.

I want to embrace every moment,
to cherish every breath,
to live without fear or regret.
I want to be seen for who I am,
to be loved for all that I am.

So here I stand, finally admitting
that I deserve love, that I am worthy.
I won't settle for anything less,
I'll hold onto my dreams
and never let them go.

I choose love, I choose hope,
I choose to believe in myself.
I want to live life to the fullest,
to never look back and wonder
what could have been if I didn't believe in me.
