Stranger in the mirror
I stand there
and stare,
I stare at the stranger in the mirror.
A stranger I do not know
A stranger I do not wish to know.
A stranger with red puffy eyes,
Eyes dull with misery,
A face that mirrors horror,
I just wonder how the stranger got to have
a face like mine,
I whisper,"Oh stranger who art thou."
"You." Screamed the stranger.
The screams made my heart skip,
There is no way I could be that stranger
or the stranger could be me.
I shut my eyes,
I shut the nightmare of the stranger
before me,
I open them hoping not to see the stranger,
To my surprise the stranger was still there with her
scary look.
