Outcast Crew
“She’s just an immature kid,”
“She’s weird,”
“She’s horrible in everything,”
“She’s a nerd,”
“He’s a loser”
“He’s ugly,”
“He sucks at every sport,”
“And those two are just plain trouble,”
The whispers never end,
Not when the whispers are about them,
About the outcast crew,
The outcasts that are punished for being themselves,
They are judged like posters that have every part of their personality on display,
When in reality they only show a tenth of their real selves,
They’re the outcast crew,
They’re scared of being themselves,
They’re scared for good reasons,
They’re scared because they’ve been hurt for being themselves,
Because they’ve been glared at for being different,
Because they’ve been judged by their pasts,
Because they got laughed at for not being able to do something,
Because they got stared at for embracing the kid inside them,
And because they got pushed around for being smarter than average.
So they stopped talking to others and became one group,
One group that won’t change for others,
One group that tries to stop being scared of being themselves,
One group that they can count on,
One group that works in sync even though they are so different,
One group that allowed themselves to be outcasts.
That group will grow up to be some of the strongest and most successful,
So the outcasts are okay with being alone,
Because they aren’t really alone they have each other,
And the others will regret whispering and making them the outcast crew.
