I've chased elusive dragons, and one day, I found one.
Lowering my defenses, I approached this divine being, undone.
Overflowing with emotions, it took flight, leaving a fiery trace,
Scorching my soul as visions of a bright future began to erase.

Everything I'd ever longed for, dreams aflame, started to fade,
As I watched those fiery wings vanish into the distance's shade.
Yesterday felt like a mirage, a delusion of a perfect design,
In the moment, my charred body crumbled, leaving remnants behind.

Uncertain of my destination, I'll let the wind carry me far and wide,
As the world forgets my existence, my feelings will still reside.
