DARKNESS KNOWS FEAR.
In the stillness
Of a near silent night,
Darkness sees it's fear
And my eyes, stripped
of it's ability,
Like impact on giant door; the beating
of my heart against my thorax
It swallows the shrieks and squeaks of the night,
So deafening, I can only hear myself
And this surrounding presence cripples me.
Little lights from near starless skies
Not enough guide to take me home
So I stayed
I stayed frozen
In the heart of one long night....
Encapsulated in darkness's thrill
That I could barely voice"Mother!"
She heard!
And the hold of a childs' fear;
Lost to the lifting of one assuring grip.
Darkness knows fear.
