burden of love
o sweet burden of love,
no more than you bring joy
do you bring about torrents of pain
of agony of which will rip through me
a tempest of sorrow.
the tides of love
do certainly bring such weary emotions,
that blister my heart and scar my mind
but warms the heart and memories
of time.
how do I wish peace of love and mind?
how I do wish to know such an answer.
lovers rejoice, send sickly hues to one another
Cupid's shaft struck true those nights,
burrowed deeper and deeper till blissful cries
slip out from such fogged expressions.
I crave that feeling and yet it repulses me.
how strange the burden of love must seem
to others who see only pure ecstacy
