Where is all this going to lead?
I said the wrong words yet again
I didn't stay on the script you penned
I didn't conform to your new norm
Now I find myself condemned
Within your rules I won't stay hemmed
Where is all this going to lead?
Why did you have to plant this seed
Have you sown the seeds of destruction
Thinking it all needs reconstruction
If you look back through our histories
See we have it better than it's ever been
So much closer to the dream
Yet all people do is scream
Scream about almost anything
Always feeling they need to fight
Let's keep things balanced
Not too far left, not too far right
Let's not ruin things out of spite
Why look for things to complain about?
Why look for reasons to have to shout?
Why not take a breath and let it out?
And recognise how good we really have it.
