I know so much happened this year, and to a lot of people, life wasn't fair.
I know so much lessons came with the year too, lessons that would remain forever.
So many have gone to the grave, even people we saw to be brave.
As muffled drums keep beating and time fleeting; I accept;
The fact that there are things I cannot change. I accept;
The fact God's love for me speaks louder than all that has happened. I accept; the fact that he(God) alone knows my fate, so no matter what happens, I choose to wait.
Why should we remember the former things? They only make us slumber and instead of counting our blessings, we dwell in mournful numbers of pain and sorrow that normally shouldn't even last till tomorrow.
I accept the gift of life, even if I strife, I'd always stand victorious in Christ.
I accept the Joy the presence of God brings, its one that cannot be explained but felt.
