Lost in the dark,
Filled with guilt when I remember my crimes,
Drowning in my sins and doubt,
I thought I wasn't worthy of God's sight,
Till I felt the wave of His Glory upon my life,
Then I sang,

The Glory of the Lord is shining upon me,
Nations maybe covered by darkness but the light of the Lord will shine upon me.


Bound by the chains of my past,
The devil trying to take hold of my life,
Overcomed by my problems I thought I had lost my fight,
But then I mentioned the name of God and all my problems bowed,
I began to sing,

The Glory of the Lord is shining upon me,
Nations maybe covered by darkness but the light of the Lord will shine upon me.


A new wave of Glory has fallen upon me,
I know that the devil can't take hold of me,
I won't be afraid no more and I will continue to sing,
