As I sit listening to the rain
Like every drop is echoing
As if it’s beating on my skin
Soaking right through
Every single inch of me
I sit in saturated clothes
Drenched by the water
That’s nourishing the earth
Like it’s some kind of rebirth
For I feel completely cleansed
Released from all that’s passed
As every drop drips off of me
From my hair to my feet
It saturates me entirely
