Mon Amour
#WritcoPoemPrompt
Write a poem that includes at least five from the ten words given: (You can use more words of your choice to complete.)
Wish, desire, heart, star, reflection, smile, existence, behold, serene, warmth.
The Poem :
Mon amour,
I wish I could tell you this sooner,
So I won’t regret it someday,
Oh, my deadliest addiction.
Did I ever tell you?
About the ocean of desire inside me?
The urge to hold you against my body,
The warmth when we collide,
Our hair tousled by the breeze.
Mon amour,
Can’t you see?
The way my lips carve a genuine smile when we’re together,
How I cherish the silence between us,
Sinking into each other’s space.
To the one I call mon cher,
Your existence ignites the void in my heart,
Brightens my days with your strange jokes—
Even the stars adore you.
They might call you a “weirdo,”
But I see only your beauty,
A calmness that soothes my soul.
You told me you liked the sunset,
Said it was a sight to behold.
I’d chuckle softly,
Then glance at your side profile,
Watching the pinkish-orange light highlight your face.
