THE BROKEN VOW
In the shadows of night, she weeps alone,
A faithful wife with a heart of stone.
Her husband's love, once sweet and true,
Now tainted by lies, leaving her blue.

He calls her names, like a beast he roars,
Leaves her cold, on lonely floors.
His mistress, oh, she's treated so fine,
While the wife's left behind, to silently pine.

Her beauty fades, unseen by his eyes,
No more compliments, just hurtful lies.
She bears the bruises, the scars unseen,
Dreaming of love that once had been.

But one fateful day, she found her release,
In the arms of another, her heart found peace.
Johnny, the neighbor, with eyes so kind,
Brought warmth to her soul, and left woes behind.

Regret fills his heart, but it's too late,
To win her back, his cruel fate.
She's moved on, found love anew,
Leaving behind the beast she once knew.
